Brennan's Banana Foster
Brennan's Banana Foster
Recipe is from Brennan's Restaurant in New Orleans, Louisiana. Little did anyone realize that Bananas Foster would become an international favorite and is the most requested item on the restaurant's menu. Thirty-five thousand pounds of bananas are flamed each year at Brennan's in the preparation of its world-famous dessert.

Banana Bisque with Cinnamon Croutons
This delightful Banana Bisque could be served either as an appetizer, soup entree, or even dessert. It is not only sensational tasting, but so easy to make!

Banana Cream Pie (Low Fat)

Banana Cream Pie (Low Fat)
have a wonderful friend who has asked me several times what I have in the house that is sweet to eat, which I usually do have something. Unfortunately, she is diabetic. Her desire for something sweet, gave me the idea to start working on some low fat, ADA compliant recipes. This recipe was the result of trying to stay within the limits of what we all should be eating in the way of fats and sugars while still tasting like a “real” dessert.

Banana Nut Bread
Banana Nut Bread
There is a saying about lemons; “When life gives you lemons, make lemonade”.  Well maybe there should be one for bananas as well - when life gives you overripe bananas, make banana bread!  At least that is what I do.

Banana Pecan Bread
Banana Pecan Bread

This is my family's recipe for Banana Nut Bread. I think it originally came from my mother, Dorothy Hagerman. This is a moist, buttery banana bread loaded with banana flavor. It is very easy to make and so delicious!

Fresh Fruit Salad
Fresh Fruit Salad
This is my favorite fresh fruit salad. My mother-in-law, Gertrude Zemp, taught me to make this when I was a young bride.  It is very refreshing and also low in calories. I use whatever fresh fruit is in season when making this salad. The banana dressing is very light and compliments the fruit. You will never want to make a "yucky" canned fruit salad again!

Fresh Fruit Salad with 1-2-3 Fruit Dressing
Fresh Fruit Salad with 1-2-3 Fruit Dressing
This is very refreshing and delicious fruit salad. I use whatever fresh fruit is in season when making this salad. The 1-2-3 Fruit Dressing is from an old Betty Crocker Cookbook. The combination of citrus fruits in the dressing gives the salad a wonderful delicious flavor!

Mango Melon Soup
This outstanding recipe is from Debbie Reynolds of Rocky Mountain Lodge & Cabins of Cascade, Colorado. Debbie says, "This recipe has become a huge hit with my guests. They always rave over it, eat every bite, and are amazed to have soup for breakfast. I serve three courses for breakfast, and a fruit dish is always my first course. If you love mangos, you'll love this recipe."
