Day 7 - April 20 (Friday)

Our last full day at sea. We will be back in San Diego tomorrow morning and disembarking. It seems like the cruise went by very fast. Time flies when having fun! It has been a great trip and especially great being with my family all week. Since life is short, you never know what lies ahead in the future.

Before dinner, everyone packed their suitcases. We had to have our suitcases in the hall, outside our staterooms, by 1:00 a.m. tonight.  We had to very carefully plan what we wanted to wear for the evening, as you had to wear the same thing when traveling home.

Dinner - Our final dinner on the ship was another excellent dinner.  It was sad that it was our last night, but we had a great time talking and eating!

Avocado and Bay Shrimps
A creamy wedge of avocado filled with bay shrimps coated in a brandy cocktail sauce.

Orange and Caramelized Pink Grapefruit Cocktail
Surrounded by a glistening tequila-spiked ratatouille of assorted fruits.

Salmon and Shrimp Cake
Diced salmon and shrimp hand-formed into a tender cake with crisp celery, bell pepper, thyme and red pepper flakes. Served with a sweet chili mayonnaise.

Chilled Avocado and Smoked Salmon
Creamy avocado soup with jalapeno, sour cream, smoked salmon julienne and cilantro.

Parmesan Crusted Chicken Breast
With a honey Dijon mustard sauce, basil-scented mashed potatoes and buttery broccoli florets.

Sachertorte
The classic chocolate cake from Vienna, addictively dark and dense, filled with apricot preserves and enrobed in a shiny chocolate glaze served with Chantilly.

After dinner, our family went to our favorite lounge, The Crow's Nest, and had a few more drinks and, some of us, danced.

Bye, Bye! See you on our next cruise.
