Soup:
Sopa Del Dia (soup of the day)
- This was a sweet potato soup with a
kick of pepper, and topped with some cebiche. This was absolutely
fantastic! We wanted to lick our bowls to get all of it.
Tapas:
The tapas can be
ordered by plate size with small plates ($6.00), medium plates
($11.00), and large plates ($19.00)
Cebiche
- De Pescado "5 Elementos" - Traditional cebiche of fresh fish. This
is a traditional Peruvian dish where raw foods are "cooked" in key
lime juice with onions, cilantro, hot peppers, and salt. It was
served with small piece of corn-on-the cob, slices of camote (yam). - This was excellent! I could make a meal of this
wonderful cebiche.
Yuca Rellena - Cheese-stuffed yucca with an aji Amarillo and cheese sauce.
- They unusual and very good.

peppers stuffed with cheese, quinoa and Serrano ham.
- This was a favorite with
everyone at our table.
Choros a la Chalaca - Mussels cooked in Peruvian beer with salsa criolla, lime and salt.

Rellena de Cangrejo y Langostinos -

Seco
a la Nortena - An old family recipe; lamb shank slow-cooked in
the traditional Northern Peruvian style with cilantro, black
beer, aji amarillo, onions and garlic served with a canary bean
stew and salsa criolla. ($19.00) - My husband was a little
disappointed with this lamb shank. He said it was good,
but he has had better.

Plato
de Crema Quemada - Three pots of creme brulee each highlighting
a distinct Peruvian flavor. ($7.00) - This was excellent.

What can you say about chocolate truffles? There is nothing

good!

We didn't
order any main courses this evening. We decided to just
order tapas and share them with the four (4) of us. As
usual, every tapa we ordered was cooked to perfection
and tasted absolutely wonderful! This restaurant is
