My husband and I had an unbelievable delicious dinner at Joy's Bistro. It was one of the best dinners I have had in a long time. So, gas up your car and travel to the beautiful Olympic Peninsula area in Washington state and enjoy this restaurant delight!

This restaurant was an exciting discovery for myself and my husband in Port Angeles, WA. It was recommended to us by some fellow guests at a B&B in Walla Walla, WA. It is located is a small brightly painted house on Front Street.

The decor of this restaurant is very eclectic and decorated with exciting colors of orange and blue walls, subtle lighting, and draperies. Each table is painted with a map of different wine regions of the world.

The wine list is excellent with a large selection of local  wines plus wines from all over Washington state. There are also lots of wines by the glass. The wine list alone makes Joy's worth a visit

Soups de jour:

Asparagus Soup

This soup was perfect with a delicate taste of asparagus. I wanted to lick the bowl clean!

Dinner Entrees:
We each had their dinner special for the night.

16-ounce Rib Eye Steak - Over creamy mashed potatoes with mushrooms and blue cheese. $25.00

My husband, a steak and potato man, loved this really large perfectly cooked rib eye steak. The steak was so big that he couldn't eat all of it. He said it was one of the best steaks he had eaten in a long time.

Fresh Romesco Crusted Halibut - Over quinoa with sauteed mushrooms. $24.00

This was fantastic! The halibut was moist and tender - just the way I like fresh cooked halibut.

Dessert:

Chocolate Mint Torte

A perfect ending to the perfect meal - Chocolate! My husband and I like to share desserts.
