Overall Review:
The food was good, but not great! They are definitely lacking in presentation of their dishes!

This is a great restaurant to dine on a hot summer evening sitting, on their deck, and watching the boats go by.

Mark's on the Channel is an actual floating restaurant that offer the sights and sounds of the Willamette River. It is not a fancy looking restaurant, but the food is good and the ambiance is great! Watching the sun set and the moon rise over Sauvie Island makes for a very romantic setting.

Our favorite local musical group, Conway & DeBrie, were playing at Mark's On The Channel on this beautiful Friday evening, so we decided to make the trip over the mountain to the restaurant. During the summer months, they have live music on Tuesday, Friday, and Saturdays nights from 8:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m.

By the way, the music was great! We always enjoy Conroy and DeBrie. Check out their website;  http://www.debrie.com/

We started off our meals with an appetizer of Oysters Baked with Andouille Crumbs (Casino), and a small Caesar Salad that we shared. The Oyster Casino dish was a little different than I have eaten in the past, but it was good. The Caesar Salad was also good. They make all their own salad dressings.

We decided to order off of their nightly Market Menu:

Crusted Alaskan Halibut - Pan fried with chippy potato-herb crust, balsamic blueberry-cucumber relish vegetable pilaf, and green bean saute. $21.00

This dish was good, but the halibut was slightly overcooked.  The blueberries made an interesting and tasty addition to this dish.

Grilled Angus Rib Eye of Beef - Topped with chili adobo butter and roast pablanos, garlic potatoes, and vegetable melange. $22.00

This steak was cut too thin! My husband asked for medium-rare, but with this thin cut, it was probably impossible to cook anything but overdone. As you can see from the photo, the chili adobo butter was just "plopped" down on top of the steak. My husband, the steak and potato guy, said it was just ok.

For dessert, we shared the Bread Pudding with Caramel Sauce. It was good, but nothing special.
