Ruth's Chris Steakhouse
A national
steakhouse chain.
My son and
daughter-in-law dined with use on this beautiful December evening.
As the guys are definitely "steak lovers," we ventured to Ruth's
Chris Steakhouse in downtown Portland. The ambience is beautiful with rich
woods throughout. It reminds me of a men's club.
The
restaurant's
la carte menu features
steaks that are cooked
broiled at 1800 degrees to lock in the flavorful
juices arrives on your table sizzling in butter on 500-degree
plates. This cooking
technique provides a seared, crisp outside while still maintaining
that delectable pink moistness in the center. The menu also includes seafood, lamb, and veal with New
Orleans-inspired appetizers.
Family-style side dishes include gargantuan onion rings, creamed
spinach, and various styles of potatoes.
My husband and I usually share these.
In fact, they encourage you to share. The salads are large enough to
be a complete meal. Potatoes are also served as a side dish.
Even thought this is a national chain
restaurant, it rates near the top with their perfectly cooked
steaks. Yes, it is expensive and worth every penny. You'll never leave
hungry!
