Located in the Willamette Valley wine county, this of one of the favorite stopping places after a wine tour. This is a family-run restaurant with a wife-and-husband-chef team, who are doing a really great job. They will revise your notion of small-town cuisine. As you walk in the restaurant, the handsome wood bar in the entry gives way to two small dining rooms are divided by a double-sided fireplace. Entrée's are well prepared and artistically plated. The menu is changed according to the season and regional availability of foods. Tina's dishes are created using mostly organically produced ingredients from nearby farms. Dishes we ordered with diner's comments: Appetizers: Salmon Spring Rolls with spicy hazelnut sauce ($9.00) - This is their signature dish is their appetizer of salmon spring rolls with hazelnut dipping sauce. The spring rolls are crisp and moist, and the accompanying hazelnut dip reminiscent of a Thai peanut sauce. My husband and I really enjoyed these!
Duck Pate with green peppercorns ($8.00) - I really like pate, so
this was excellent. My husband is not a pate lover, so we won't use
his comments. Entrees: Carmelized Onion Risotto under a boneless duck breast ($24.00) - The risotto was a little dry, as I like a creamy risotto. Overall it was ok. Grilled Beef
Tenderloin, an 8 ounce filet served with seasonal vegetables and a
cognas demi-glace ($36.00) - My husband really enjoyed this.
Desserts: Ginger Custard - If this is on the menu, be sure to try it, as it was excellent.
