Walnut Cafe
Website:

This outstanding restaurant is located in the quaint town of
Cashmere, Washington. This city is the home of the famous Aplets and
Cotlets candy.
The 1920's
decor of the building make this restaurant, complete with bar stools
and counter, a delight to dine in. Tourists visiting the
neighboring Bavarian town of Leavenworth, WA are only
minutes away from the exquisite cuisine of this restaurant! I
wouldn't be surprises if people from Seattle begin discovering this
treasure located in the Stevens Pass area.
Soups de jour:

Riesling
Strawberry Melon Soup
A very
delicate soup with small bites of fresh strawberries and melon. Very
refreshing! NOTE: sorry for the quality of the photo.
Dinner
Entrees:

Beef Tenderloin Steak -
Choice tenderloin, grilled with portobello mushrooms and finished
with merlot sauce. Served with roasted garlic mashed potato and
fresh vegetable. $23.95
My husband, a steak and potato
man, loved this perfectly cooked steak. He did say the merlot
sauce was a little bland, but overall he loved it!

Domestic Rack of Lamb -
herb crusted & roasted
fresh mint demi glaze served with mashed potato and vegetable.
$32.95
This was fantastic!
Perfectly cooked with a hint of fresh mint. I really loved it! The
best rack of lamb that I've eaten in a long, long time!
Dessert:
Strawberries with Grande Marnier Sabayon and
fresh berries.
$5.95
A very
traditional way of serving fresh strawberries. The Grande Marnier
Sabayon sauce was very delicate and complimented the strawberries
perfectly.
