Strawberries with Champagne and Roses

Recipe Type: Strawberries, Champagne, Dessert
Yields: 4 servings

Prep time: 10 min


Ingredients:

bottle of Champagne4 cups sliced fresh strawberries
1/3 cup dry chilled champagne*
20 rose petals**

* If desired, sparkling grape juice can be used in place of the champagne.

** Make sure to use organic rose petals that have not been sprayed and are especially grown to be eaten. Your local grocery store, farmer's market, or even your own garden should have some pesticide and chemical free roses.


Preparation:

In a large bowl, gently toss the strawberries and champagne together. NOTE: If preparing ahead of time, cover and refrigerate until ready to serve.

Before serving, gently toss with the rose petals. Serve in attractive individual serving bowls or in margarita glasses.

Makes 4 servings.
