Ice Coffee with Chilled Frothy Milk Recipe

Ingredients
  • 2 tablespoons whole roaster coffee beans ground
  • 2 cups water
  • 1 cup whole milk or nonfat Lactaid milk
Instructions
  1. Place ground coffee beans into the filter in coffee machine, then add water. Close lid and press button until brewed.  Pour coffee into a jar or pitcher and allow it to cool down to room temperature. 
    Once cooled down, cover and place coffee in the refrigerator over night.  

  2. Frothing aerates the milk adding oxygen, which creates more body into the liquid.

    To Froth: Place the chilled milk into a mixing bowl.  Using an emulsifier to pulse or a
    mixer, beat the milk for a minute or so until the milk becomes frothy in texture.

  3. When ready to serve pour the chilled coffee into
    a tall glass filled with a few ice cubes or cubes made from the extra coffee

  4. Add the frothy milk. Stir to blend.  Remove the spoon from the glass and place it
    on the side of a plate. Simple syrup may be used as a sweetener.

Spoon Etiquette Tip:
  1. After stirring a drink with a spoon, set the spoon on the side of a plate. Never leave the spoon directly on a cloth or table. Also never leave a spoon in a glass when drinking as it is not only bad manners, one could injure one’s eye.
