Oysters Casino Recipe

Recipe Type: Appetizers, Oysters, Lemon Juice, Diet
Yields: 2 to 4 servings
Prep time: 15 min
Cook time: 20 min


Ingredients:

1 pint shucked raw oysters*
1/2 cup minced red bell pepper
1/2 cup minced
onion
3 bacon slices, minced
1 clove
garlic, minced
Black pepper to taste
1/2 cup bread crumbs**
3 tablespoons freshly-squeezed
lemon juice

Preparation:

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.

Drain oysters and place into a 13x9-inch baking dish or individual baking dishes.

Sprinkle with bell pepper, onion, bacon, garlic, and pepper. Sprinkle bread crumbs over all and then sprinkle with lemon juice.

Baked in casserole-type dish.

Bake, uncovered, 15 to 20 minutes or until edges of oysters begin to curl. Remove from oven and serve immediately.

Makes 4 servings.
