Poppy Seed Dressing Recipe

Recipe Type: Salad Dressing Condiments
Yields: 3 cups
Prep time: 15 min


Ingredients:

1 cup granulated sugar
3 teaspoons ground mustard
1 teaspoon salt
2/3 cup rice vinegar
1/4 cup chopped white onion
2 cups extra-virgin olive oil
2 tablespoons poppy seeds


Preparation:

In a blender or food processor, combine sugar, ground mustard, salt, rice vinegar, and onion. With the motor on, slowly add vegetable oil in a slow, steady stream; whirling until dressing is smooth and has a creamy texture.

Stir in the poppy seeds.

Store, covered, in the refrigerator. Dressing will keep approximately 7 to 10 days. Serve at room temperature.

Yields approximately 3 cups dressing.
