Question:

I have a recipe for Irish coffee that said to use a measure of Irish Whiskey. Could you please tell me exactly what is a measure of Irish Whiskey. What is the liquid measurement? Thank you. - Keisha (3/8/00)

Answer:

A "measure" is equal to a "jigger" in American terms.

1 jigger = 3 tablespoons = 1 1/2 ounces = 45 ml
