Calamity Jane's

This is a great family place to eat in Dundee and in Sandy, Oregon. The building's exterior and interior is a Western saloon-style atmosphere which makes you feel like you stepped back into the days of the wild west. The restaurant area has an upright player-piano that is played by a pianist on the weekends. They have an authentic looking Western style, non-smoking, saloon which you can also eat in.  Western line dancing is featured during the week.

If you're looking for a good burger, large salad, ribs, or a place to go for breakfast or Sunday brunch, this is a great restaurant. Almost everything here is LARGE (drinks, burgers, salads and entrees). So bring your appetite! They even feature real old-fashion milkshakes made with "real" ice cream. The fries, however, were not that good, as they were not hand cut and a bit soggy when they arrived.

Their specialty is the many different types of hamburgers on the menu. They have the largest selection of hamburgers that I have seen on a menu. There are even pizza burgers. Just about anything you could desire on a burger - there is literally something for everyone!

Hamburgers come in three sizes (City Slicker - 1/3 lb, Wrangler - 2/3 lb., and Trail Boss - 1 lb.) and it's fun just reading the hamburger menu:

A Top Notch - Mayo, sweet green relish, crisp lettuce, tomatoes, red onions

Chili - Served open-face with homemade chili and cheddar cheese

Country Fair - American cheese and mounds of grilled red onions

Garden Burger (meatless) - American cheese, mayo, crisp lettuce, tomatoes, red onions, pickles

George Washington Burger - Sour cream and hot, sweet pie cherries

Guacamole - Cheddar cheese, guacamole, crisp bacon, crisp lettuce, tomatoes, red onions

Ham BBQ - American cheese, sliced ham, BBQ sauce
