Grilled Pork Loin with Blackberry-Wine Sauce – Menu and Recipes

Grilled Pork Loin with Blackberry-Wine Sauce Dinner Menu

Another outstanding dinner using a pork loin roast.  This grilled pork loin dinner is easy to prepare and tastes like you have been “slaving” in the kitchen all day.  Of course you have not because most of the meal can be prepared ahead of time.

Grilled Pork Loin Dinner menu collage1st Course – Appetizer:

Served in the living room or outdoors.

Baked Truffled Brie en Croute

This makes a beautiful and delicious appetizer.  Truffle lovers will especially enjoy this appetizer!  The truffles could be eliminated, if needed.

Crostini with White Truffle Oil & Olive Paste
Served with crackers or bread.  This is so good that you will find yourself licking your fingers to catch every essence of the truffle.

Both appetizers are served with good-quality bread or crackers.

2nd Course – Salad:

Shrimp Martini Ceviche with Chili-Cumin Chips
For a wonderful refreshing presentation, serve this delightful low fat, low calorie, and low carbohydrate Ceviche Martini.  The acidity of the lime juice actually “cooks” or “pickles” the shrimp and firms the flesh.

3rd Course – Main Course and Side:

Grilled Pork Loin with Blackberry-Wine Sauce
The Blackberry-Wine Sauce gives a little extra “zing” to this delicious pork loin.

Three Pepper Salad
This salad makes a beautiful presentation with the various colors of the sweet peppers.  It is so simple to make and so delicious!

4th Course – Dessert:

Lavender Creme Brulee
If you love lavender and love creme brulee – this dessert will instantly WOW you!  I have served this wonderful creme brulee at many dinner parties.

Lavender Tea Cookies
These Lavender Cookies are fabulous!  You are sure to get raves when you serve them.  I created this cookie recipe to showcase how Lavender can be used in your baking.

Finale:

A good way to end a meal is with a (decaf) latte.

Picnic Safety Tips – There is nothing more American than the picnic.  Picnics can take on many forms, such as the community picnic, friends and neighbors, tailgate parties, or ball games.  There is also one sure thing at every picnic-lots of good food.  The important point is to have safe and healthy food, not food that can cause food borne illness.  Always prepare and store food properly.

Summer Safety Tips – Summer is the time for barbecues and picnics.  The biggest party crasher at summer picnic and buffets is food borne bacteria.  You can not see them and you can not taste them, but you sure can feel them if illness occurs hours or days later.
