Dill Sauce is a very easy-to- make gourmet sauce that goes well with any type of seafood.  My favorite dish with dill sauce is baked salmon.  This is a great make-ahead sauce, the flavors blend for a richer flavor when they sit over night.   Using a low-fat or no-fat sour cream is a great way to make this a healthy dill sauce and it still has a great taste.  Another variation is to use a non-fat greek yogurt in place of the sour cream.  This gives the sauce a rich full taste with no fat.

Dill Sauce Recipe:

Dill Sauce Recipe

Prep Time: 10 minutes

Cook Time: PT

Yield: serves many


2 cups sour cream*
1 teaspoon Dijon-style mustard
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon white pepper
1/2 teaspoon or more dill weed
1 tablespoon fresh-squeezed lemon juice
1 teaspoon capers

* I like to use light sour cream



In a medium-size bowl, sour cream, Dijon-style mustard, salt, white pepper, dill weed, fresh lemon juice, and capers.

Store in refrigerator until ready to serve.
