Smoked Salmon Crostini Recipe

Smoked Salmon Crostini appetizers are easy to make and so delectable!  This delightful smoked salon appetizer pairs smoky salmon with a tangy cheese.  When smoked salmon is paired with seasoned goat cheese and crisp toasts, you have a wonderful, elegant, and easy appetizer that will delight everyone you serve them to.  Please always use good-quality smoked salmon or lox when preparing these crostini.  They make such a beautiful presentation and are sure to please your family and friends!

Smoked Salmon Crostini are among my stash of favorite appetizers that I like to make and take to wine tastings.  Smoked Salmon and Goat Cheese Crostini appetizers are excellent served with glasses of Champagne, Sauvignon Blanc, and/or Pinot Gris wine.

Ingredients
Instructions
  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.

  2. In a small bowl, combine goat cheese, tarragon, fennel, lemon zest, and pepper; set aside.

  3. Brush olive oil over both sides of the bread slices.  Arrange bread in single layer on large baking sheet.  Bake approximately 5 minutes per side or until bread is just crisp.  Remove from oven.

  4. NOTE: Cheese mixture and toasts can be made 2 days ahead.  Cover cheese mixture and chill. Cool toasts; store airtight at room temperature.

  5. When ready to serve, spread goat cheese mixture over the top of the prepared toasts.  Top with salmon slices, trimming to fit.  Garnish with optional garnishes that you desire.  Arrange on platter and serve.

Optional Garnishes: lemon peel strips, tarragon sprigs, sour cream, and/or salmon roe
